Bull has entered both the 120m and 400m at the 133rd edition of the race and is a former winner of the Queanbeyan Gift.
The 26-year-old said despite not having the best preparation she is ready to give her best in the great race.
“I’ve had a few good training sessions and I’ve been running quite well,” she said.
“I feel like I’ve done all I can do now and I just have to get out there and run well.
“My preparation was a little bit disrupted just because I work in Sydney and I’ve had to do a bit of moving and fiddling around but I think I’m ready to go.”
Bull is an experienced campaigner at the Stawell Gift and said she looked forward to the event.
“This is my fourth or fifth trip down here now,” she said.
“I always enjoy coming down here and hopefully I can run well.”
Bull left on Wednesday and expected to arrive at Stawell on Friday morning after stops at Hay and Bendigo and said she enjoyed the road trip south.
“We wanted to go a little bit off the beaten track this year, we sort of took the long way to get here,” she said.
“I’ve driven down with my mum and it has been pretty good, we’ve just seen lots of nothing really.”
Bull will run her 120m heat on Saturday before backing up for the 400m heat on Sunday.
Semi-finals and finals are run on Monday.
Two former winners of the Stawell Gift have entered but face a difficult battle to take out a second crown due to their handicaps.
The 2012 winner Matthew Wiltshire and last year’s champion Andrew Robinson will run off 3.75m and 3.5m respectively.
If either man manages a win they will join Bill Howard, Barry Foley and former Maitland athlete Joshua Ross as the only men to win the event twice.
