Maitland MP Robyn Parker and Upper Hunter MP George Souris were ousted from the ministry yesterday.
“Mike Baird is clearly more interested in Sydney than Maitland,” Mr Robertson said.
“The loss of cabinet representation will be sorely felt in Maitland.”
Mr Baird appointed Liberal deputy leader Gladys Berejiklian as Minister for Hunter.
“It defies belief that the entire Hunter will not have a single seat around Mike Baird’s cabinet table,” Mr Robertson said.
“This is a huge insult to our state’s economic powerhouse and one of its fastest growing regions.”
Labor candidate for Maitland Jenny Aitchison said voters would have to question what Ms Parker could achieve.
“This proves she’s lost all influence in the Liberal Party that she claimed to have,” Ms Aitchison said.
“She’s not going to achieve anything from the backbench.”
