Central Maitland’s riverside car park, also known as Galtons Car Park, will be the home of this year’s Aroma Coffee and Chocolate Festival from 10am to 4pm on August 16 and 17.
The festival will return to the Heritage Mall next year after work on stage one of The Levee is complete.
“Now in its sixth year, Aroma will bring together some of the region’s best coffee roasters, chocolate connoisseurs and finest Hunter Valley wineries,” Maitland City Council events co-ordinator Adam Franks said.
“Demonstrations will include tempering chocolate, latte art, cooking with chocolate, cake decorating, tiramisu and chocolate cupcake design, amongst many others.”
Some exhibitors to feature at this year’s festival include Doughheads, Cookie Bazaar, Coca Nib, Forage Espresso and Drayton’s Family Wines.
Shenanigans at The Imperial and The Belmore will join the celebrations and offer chocolate and coffee-themed specials.
These pubs will serve Irish coffee and The Belmore will also offer espresso martinis, and a coffee and cake special.
Chocolate lovers can learn how to make heavenly treats with Hunter TAFE and a host of Hunter chefs to present a range of demonstrations.
James Bennett, Doggn It Blues, Azadoota, Laura Zarb and Dave Wells Band will perform, while children’s entertainment including Giggles the Clown and Fairy Good, will be there.
