The announcement follows Rogers' inclusion on the bill of the inaugural Dungog Festival, where he will perform the night after his Junkyard appearance.
The prolific and idiosyncratic icon will appear in the venue's dining room and tickets will be $35.
Grand Junction publican Ben Quinn says Rogers is a perfect match for the hallowed walls of the long-standing live venue.
"Tim Rogers is an unvarnished, priceless artefact with endless stories you couldn't make up, just like the Junkyard," Quinn says.
"They're spiritually aligned, the ancient pub and the evergreen rocker.
"Tim's been battling it out with Roy Orbison and Townes Van Zandt and Billie Holiday and Gram Parsons and Ray Davies and all the other jukebox love hounds for years, serenading her with his bittersweet hooks and lovelorn tales.
"This was meant to be, truth be told.
"Chemistry.''
Tim Rogers plays the Grand Junction Hotel on Thursday, August 28.
Tickets are available from the venue tomorrow.
