Second Major has claimed two wins from as many starts since August 25 and will be aiming for a treble in the opening event on the Newcastle Harness Racing Club card.
The three-year-old bay colt will start from barrier eight with NSW’s first female Metropolitan driver’s premiership winner Lauren Panella on board.
Racing starts at 6.30pm.
In other harness racing news defending Metropolitan and Newcastle trainers’ premiership winner Shane Tritton has a horse in each of the eight races at Menangle on Saturday night including Suave Stuey Lombo (race six, number six) in the $30,000 mile event.
