A rock’n’roll supergroup including former members of the Screaming Jets and Rose Tattoo will take to the stage to help celebrate the iconic pub’s centenary.
The hotel will celebrate the milestone with a special show limited to just 100 people.
The Monsters of Rock will feature former Screaming Jets duo Grant Walmsley and Craig Rosevear as well as Dai Pritchard from Rose Tattoo and Paul Coxon from 90s grunge band Faceplant.
Walmsley said it would be a special night.
“You’re going to have the best of Jets and the best of Rose Tattoo,” he said.
“People ask us what we play and we just say songs from our catalogue from the last 30 years plus some other classic rock.”
Walmsley said the band was excited to be part of the hotel’s big night.
“This will be different, we’ve done about 3000 shows each now and it’s just mad, you look back and can’t fathom how much you’ve done,” he said.
“Certainly this will be a different experience, I’ve never played this venue before either and it’s always good to be part of a historical thing like this.
“We’re big supporters of our local community too, and it will be great to get some very real rock’n’roll out there.”
The Bellbird Hotel’s 100th birthday celebration will be on October 4 with tickets available through the pub.
Tickets are $50 for dinner and show or $25 for the show only.
