North ward’s Cr Philip Penfold and west ward’s Cr Nicole Penfold will meet residents at Pat Hughes Community Hall, Thornton, tomorrow from 5.30pm to 6.30pm before speaking with people at Rutherford Neighbourhood Centre from 7pm to 8pm.
They will also be available on Thursday at East Maitland Library from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and Maitland Town Hall from 7pm to 8pm.
Cr Philip Penfold said residents had recently raised issues such as the provision of playgrounds, problems with sportsgrounds, conditions of some local roads and the provision of footpaths and cycleways.
“Nicole and I decided, as I have done before, to get out and make ourselves available to chat in each ward face-to-face,” he said.
“Many contact me on social media, though some are more comfortable expressing themselves face-to-face.
“This mid-point in the term of council we felt was the best to check in, face-to-face, and hear from the people who put us in these roles.”
No bookings are required, but alternative appointments can be made by emailing philipapenfold@gmail.com or calling 0427 330 771.
