The annual singles handicap golf croquet tournament started yesterday and will wrap up today with 36 players from Port Macquarie to Lake Macquarie in the hunt for a title.
In the top of six blocks Hunter Hall of Famer and Australian representative John Levick is going head-to-head with Taree’s Joe Dymock while Port Macquarie’s Trevor Thornton is still in the hunt.
Maitland pair Jackie O’Neill and Lyn Dooley are in contention for block F.
Other clubs represented include Forster, Myall Park, Newcastle, Toronto, Mount Sugarloaf, Branxton, Macquarie City and Wollongong.
Day two gets underway at 8.30am with all block winners set to be decided by 5pm.
