Owner Chinh Lam came to the Maitland area several years ago with a dream to open her own restaurant to serve traditional food from her homeland.
She specialises in dishes from the Mekong Delta, which has its own distinct flavours and ingredients.
Chinh opened her restaurant in July last year in the heart of what will soon be the new-look The Levee.
“I do not use any frozen product, only fresh produce and everything is freshly prepared and cooked,” Chinh said.
“I also cater to vegetarian and diabetic diets.”
Chinh does not use MSG in her cooking.
“We are a friendly, multi-cultural staff and we are here to serve our customers,” she said.
“I love my job, I love to cook and I love to bring my food to the people of Maitland.”
The restaurant has free BYO alcohol, plenty of tables and seating inside, eftpos and wheelchair access toilet.
Takeaway food is also available and there is an extensive selection of cold drinks.
Bookings are essential for dining in and can also be made for take away orders on 4933 7471.
Chinh’s is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am until 3pm and 5pm to 9pm.
