Port Stephens maintain a narrow lead at the top despite a loss to Tenambit Morpeth, who now move off the bottom of the ladder.
Windsor Castle, Dungog and Paterson make up the top four after recording wins on Saturday.
Mercury sports reporter Josh Callinan takes a closer look around the grounds from round seven of the 2014-2015 season.
PORT STEPHENS v TENAMBIT MORPETH
Tenambit Morpeth claimed a three-wicket victory over competition leaders Port Stephens with an unbeaten half century to Adam Sidoti steering the Bulls home at King Park 5 on Saturday.
Sidoti came to the crease with his side at 2-18 in pursuit of the 141 posted by the Pythons earlier in the day and managed to guide the Bulls across the line with eight balls remaining.
Sidoti was supported by Matt Wind (38) and Scott Pickering (18 not out) while for the hosts Magnee father-son combination, Jaimes (2-15) and Joel (2-34), took four wickets between them.
In the first innings Pythons skipper Josh Moxey continued his sparkling form in A-grade this summer, top scoring with 57 in their 28.5 overs at the crease, while Danny Johnson (3-21) and Mick Crawford (3-48) led the Bulls attack.
PATERSON v RAWORTH
A Rod Faulkner-inspired Paterson has toppled Raworth by 41 runs and pushed the A-grade newcomers inside the top four.
Faulkner top scored for his side with 73, including nine fours and two sixes, before the skipper captured 3-41 later on Saturday afternoon at Paterson Sportsground.
This nullified the all-round efforts of the Rabbitohs’ Ryan Lacy, who made an unbeaten 92 after finishing with figures of 4-43 opening the bowling in the first innings.
Paterson made 9-213 from their allotted overs and Raworth ended up 172 in reply when they were dismissed in the 34th over.
DUNGOG v WINDSOR CASTLE
Dungog have moved within striking distance of the top two following a 26-run win against Windsor Castle at Bennett Park on Saturday.
Dungog were 7-169 at the end of their 40 overs and then dismissed the visitors for 143.
Marty Osmond top scored with 51 for the hosts and skipper Brady Rumble took 4-29 while Josh McInnes (42) and Tim Winter (2-19) were the best performers for Windsor Castle.
Dungog (24) now sit third on the points score ladder, two behind second-placed Windsor Castle (26) and three shy of leaders Port Stephens (27).
REGAL HUNTER v CHELMSFORD HOTEL
Regal Hunter have cruised to a nine-wicket bonus-point victory over last-placed Chelmsford Hotel at SMR on Saturday.
Regal Hunter ripped through Chelmsford Hotel for 115 before chasing down the total one wicket down inside 20 overs.
Jason Brazier (3-23) and Colin Heffernan (3-32) did the damage for Regal Hunter before David Seers smashed an unbeaten 58.
This result puts Regal Hunter (19) within one point of the top four while Chelmsford Hotel (14) are now at the bottom of the ladder.
