The 2013-2014 Hunter Valley Cup champions made 249 in the semi-final encounter before dismissing the visitors for 201 in reply and advancing to the February 8 decider at Mulbring.
The prospect of an all-Maitland final also remains alive with Western Suburbs to take on Lisarow Ourimbah in the other semi-final on the Central Coast on February 1.
But on Sunday, the difference between Norths and Windsor Castle proved to be a 145-run stand between home openers Lincoln Mills and Matthew Wilks.
Mills made 92 and Wilks 47 but following their dismissals Windsor Castle pegged back the hosts, taking 8-93 in the final 22 overs.
Windsor Castle opening bowler Harry King (3-29) finished with the best figures while Aaron Clack (2-32) and Greg Mudd (2-31) chipped in with two wickets apiece.
In the afternoon session, Mudd struck 42 on familiar territory with David Parish (48), King (31 not out) and Jarrod Bailey (28) also contributing for the visitors, but it wasn’t quite enough to get last season’s A-grade minor premiers across the line.
Tim Field (4-46), Rigby Vane-Wood (2-35) and Mitch Saxby (2-8) were the best of the bowlers for Norths.
