The work is part of The Levee Development upgrades and may mean restricted access to the Central Maitland Post Office. 

Motorists are advised to expect minor delays in the area.

“Council is urging people to take care in the area,” civil engineering project manager Greg Blaze said.

“Parents and guardians dropping off or picking up school children next week should allow additional travel times.”

Traffic controllers will be stationed at the intersection to direct traffic down alternate routes.
