The free period for storm-damaged vegetation will close on Thursday May 21 and the period for storm-damaged domestic goods will close on Wednesday, May 6.
The offer does not extend to general household waste.
Council development and environment manager David Simm said the waste facility had already seen an average of 600 cars on weekdays and 800 on weekends since the super storm and floods last week. My Vincent usually only sees 400 cars on a weekend.
"Over the last week we have seen an overwhelming use of this free service, so we are asking that people be patient if they have to queue and that they obey all signage and direction from council staff at the tip face," Mr Simm said.
Aberglasslyn resident Pamela Maddock said she was upset that council was not able to remove the two wattle trees that fell in her yard.
"I'm 66, not 25, it will take me forever to cut it all up by hand and get rid of it," Mrs Maddock said.
"Neighbouring councils have managed to do it so why not Maitland?" she asked.
