The opening included afternoon tea and live music.
MRM Lawyers celebrated a career milestone for its solicitor for Mr Williams at its Church Street office last week.
Mr Williams was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Sydney on April 30, 1965, after one year as a law clerk in Sydney.
He spent another year in Sydney before he joined Brian Buffier’s practice in High Street, Maitland.
From there Mr Williams joined Thompson Norrie in 1970 and later became a partner in that firm with Peter Kirsop in 1995.
MRM Lawyers took over Thompson Norrie in 2010 but Mr Williams continues to specialise in local government planning law two days a week.
