It was the second and third quarters which proved the difference on Saturday according to winning Altitude captain-coach Kim Starkey.

Altitude continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 41-28 victory against Queens Arms at Maitland Park in what was a grand final replay of sorts.
The core of both teams had met in last year’s A2-grade decider before being promoted to the top tier competition in 2015.
This time around the result was reversed and the showdown went the way of the Branxton girls by a 13-goal margin over the East Maitland squad.
Starkey said the middle stages of the fixture were crucial for Altitude in following up last week’s season opening 31-30 triumph.
“The second and third quarters we really took it away from them,” Starkey said.
“We were up by a few in the first quarter and about 10 at half-time, but that got out to 18 at one stage.
“They pulled it back in the last quarter but it was already done by then.”
Starkey said Altitude’s defensive players were outstanding with Jenna Cole, Faongo Maher and Geordie Mills all stepping up to the plate.
Starkey also praised the accuracy of her shooters Sam Bower, Miki Carr and Emma Crosdale.
Joining Altitude at the top of the table is LJ Hooker, who also recorded their second straight win of the campaign.
LJ Hooker accounted for Branxton Flashbacks 36-26 on Saturday following a first up 42-38 triumph over Queens Arms.
And Hills Solicitors began their A-grade title defence with a comfortable 55-38 victory against Family Hotel.
George Tavern had the bye.
Next round in the Maitland Netball Association A-grade competition has an all-Branxton showdown between Altitude and Flashbacks as well as a clash between LJ Hooker and George Tavern.
Hills Solicitors meet Queens Arms this Saturday and Family Hotel have the bye.
