Glen earned the prize after defeating Shandelle Smith 25-19 in Friday’s decider at East Maitland Bowling Club.
It was Glen’s first solo crown and comes after already winning the district fours and No.1 Grade pennants with Kurri Kurri earlier this year.
Glen accounted for Greta Workers player Sue O’Neill 25-20 in the singles semi-final.
Runner-up Smith narrowly beat Maitland City’s Viv Chapple 25-24 in the other semi-final.
Smith was part of the victorious East Maitland triples team earlier this year.
Pairs competition begins at East Maitland next week and wraps up at Beresfield on June 11.
In other news, Kurri Kurri’s Gail Sheehan helped NSW Country account for NSW Metro for a third straight year in their annual clash held at Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Club last weekend.
Sheehan is away in Port Macquarie with Glen and O’Neill leading the Hunter charge at the 86th State Carnival. The carnival is being held across six clubs until Friday.
