This star event will be the first time Mr Bennet and stunt rider Joel Brown have performed the manoeuvre in public.
The air show held at Maitland Airport in Rutherford on July 4 and 5 will also feature a range of 20 different aircraft in displays by Australia’s best aerobatic pilots.
There will be warbird displays, joy flights and jet rides and a host of entertainments for children in what Mr Bennet called the biggest air show ever held in Maitland.
The air show also supports the Calvary Mater Newcastle Auxiliary Cancer Carers.
Mr Bennet said he would fly directly under Joel Brown who will be only be eight metres off he ground.
“This is the first time we will have done this exhibition in public,” Mr Bennet said.
“I will be in a Wolf Pitts Pro, the best performing aerobatic biplane in the world, flying sideways at 60 knots to come in under Joel.
“Timing is everything and we have already practised a few runs together.
“Everyone who sees this event will never forget it.”
Another air “ace” at the show will be jet pilot Mark Pracey who races in the United States and who will fly an L39 Albatross.
There will also be a Mustang fighter flying in from Melbourne, a T28 Trojan, an Avenger World War 2 torpedo bomber and a Yak 52 trainer.
Adventure joy flights in a variety of aircraft will also be available on the day.
Mr Bennet said: “The best way for people to get here is to use public transport to arrive at Maitland station – then buses will bring them to the show – and take them back to the station at the end of the day.”
The gates open at 9am when static displays can be viewed.
The opening ceremony starts at 11am with a parachute display and the day ends at 2.50pm with a formation aerobatic display.
Visitors can enjoy rides in helicopters or have fun in dodgem cars and on a jumping castle.
Tickets are $30 for a single person, $80 for a family and entry for children is free.
