The front left tyre on her car had sunk into the road’s tarmac and left her stuck.
It was just after noon on July 18 and traffic was busy, but despite the inconvenience to other drivers, many people came to Ms Robbs aid.
“Thanks to all the lovely people who stopped and offered their help and assistance, whilst I waited for the tow truck,” Ms Robbs said.
“It was really appreciated, it felt good to know that people are still out there that want to help.”
Ms Robbs called roadside assistance and Maitland City Council to let them know about the “sinkhole”.
Louth Park Road suffered damage in the April super storm and Ms Robbs said this section of the tarmac had turned to sand.
It was a case of the wrong time and the wrong place for Ms Robbs and it took a tow truck to get the car out of the newly formed pothole.
The road has since been patched up.
