Bunnings only has approval to reopen one third of the site.
Staff have spent the past 10 days modifying the interior displays to fit as much stock as possible within the confines of the approved area.
"We're very pleased to announce that Bunnings Warehouse Maitland will reopen, offering customers as much of the Bunnings home improvement and outdoor living product range as can be squeezed into a temporary reduced store format," Maitland complex manager Abdoul Ba said.
"Our Maitland warehouse store has been modified with a temporary layout so it can be safely reopened to serve the community. Repair works continue to fix the storm damage that occurred in the recent floods.
"Once the repair works are finalised - and it is still too early to provide a confirmed timeline for that - the store will be returned to full capacity. We will continue to share information with the community regarding the timing for completion of these works when it is to hand.
"We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their patience during this time and to also acknowledge, and say thanks, for the terrific work that's been done by our team and contractors to help us make this reopening possible so quickly."
Site owner The Bunnings Warehouse Property Trust, which is a separate entity to Bunnings Warehouse, has not released information on when the entire Maitland site will be reopened to the public.
In the meantime, about 90 staff members have returned to work in the condensed warehouse.
The store has been closed since April 23 when a failure of the stormwater pipes caused the erosion of about 10 per cent of the site.
