MORE than six months after he disappeared, police are hopeful Missing Persons Week may be a catalyst to find Hunter man Danny See.
The 43-year-old last had contact with family in December 2014, leaving no trace since.
Before his disappearance Mr See lived alone but was regularly in contact with relatives, police said.
He was reported missing in February after several weeks of family members trying to reach him.
The investigation launched at that point has found Mr See's bank accounts are untouched, and no records of his mobile phone being used since January.
Witnesses told police he had been travelling between Singleton and Muswellbrook.
Mr See does not own a vehicle, and police believe he may have been hitchhiking.
He is described as caucasian, standing about 165cm to 175cm tall with shaved brown hair, brown eyes and a slim build.
He is known to wear a silver necklace and has a large scar on the right side of his head from his forehead to his neck.
There is another scar on the left side of his abdomen.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Danny See is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
