Under a VPA, a company like Daracon agrees to provide or fund public amenities such as affordable housing, transport, traffic landscaping, pedestrian crossings and road upgrades. The contributions can be made through the dedication of land, money, provision of materials for public use or direct construction.
In a statement, Daracon said it would take suggestions from the community, businesses, groups and industry to be included in the draft VPA.
The statement welcomed all ideas for consideration.
Suggestions would be accepted until August 31 at quarries@daracon. com.au.
