Police are investigating the theft of five firearms after a break and enter near Cessnock on Saturday.

Police said unknown offender/s broke into the home at Northcote Street, Kurri Kurri, between 1.30pm and 2.15pm.
Five firearms, ammunition, jewellery and cash were stolen during the break-in.
The stolen firearms included a .22 rifle, .177 Crossman rifle, Bayard .22 rifle, .243 rifle and a shotgun.
Central Hunter police would like to speak to a male who may be able to assist them with the investigation.
He is described as being about 18-years-old, with an olive complexion and short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing shorts and a blue t-shirt.
