A West Australian man accused of stomping on an employee of the Sky Garden - Bali's most notorious nightclub - should serve 18 months' jail time, according to a prosecutor.

Canadian Kenneth James Wickes, a business development advisor for Sky Garden, alleges he was pushed and then stomped on by Scott Dobson at the nightclub in 2013, after the Australian refused to pay his drinks bill.
Mr Dobson, 53, denies kicking or punching Mr Wickes, insisting he merely pushed him while trying to explain that he was a shareholder in the nightclub.
Mr Dobson had also formerly worked as a DJ at the club.
He said his friend had ordered an extra bottle of vodka and he had offered to pay the balance of the bill but needed to go and get his wallet.
Prosecutor I Gusti Ayu Fitria asked the panel of judges to find Mr Dobson guilty of intentionally damaging or committing violence against a person causing injury.
She said he should be sentenced to 18 months' prison, minus time already served.
Ms Gusti said the aggravating factor was that Mr Dobson refused to admit his guilt. However, he had been polite during his trial and had never been convicted before.
Mr Wickes, 47, had earlier told the court he received a phone call from the bar manager on September 27, 2013 complaining that a bule (white person) was refusing to pay his drink bill.
"I spoke to Scott and because it was very noisy I had to get very close in order to be able to speak and hear," Mr Wickes said last month.
"He then pushed me, at the time two of his friends attacked me and then stomped on me after I was down. Scott joined in stomping on me while holding onto a rail."
Mr Wickes said his eyes, teeth and head were injured in the attack.
Head judge Made Sukereni asked Mr Wickes if he would forgive Mr Dobson if he apologised.
"Both of you are foreigners, it's not good for you to have a problem with each other," she said.
But Mr Wickes said they had tried but couldn't reach an agreement.
"I still have medical conditions for no reason," he said.
Mr Dobson told the Denpasar District Court he was a 50-year-old man "at the wrong place at the wrong time".
He said he was attending a party at the Sky Garden with friends and family when the incident occurred.
"I never kicked or hit him, just that little push," he said.
Mr Dobson said a tall white man hit Mr Wickes and then others, including, he thought, former Indonesian professional boxer Alex Bajawa, kicked him.
"I spread my hand over Kenneth as he lay face down on the floor to stop people kicking him. But it wasn't successful, he continued getting kicked."
Mr Dobson said he did not find out about Mr Wickes' injuries until the following day.
He offered to pay 80 million rupiah ($AUD8000) to reimburse him for his medical expenses at his lawyer's suggestion, despite being reluctant to do so because he hadn't done anything.
"But Kenneth rejected the offer. Then I went back to Australia to care for my mother, she has heart problems," Mr Dobson said.
"I left things with my lawyer, I wasn't running away. Then all of a sudden I was arrested".
Mr Dobson has been in Bali's Kerobokan jail since January 23 this year.
The court is adjourned until April 28, when his lawyers will mount their defence.
