The ladies of Paterson Friendship Group sit on both sides of a long table as they enjoy a Christmas lunch. They say it’s the event of the year.
The group has 15 members and the lunch is a chance to reflect on a busy year.
They have spent the year raising money for charity, making items for good causes and enjoying craft.
The group can turn their hand to almost anything. They have made leprosy bandages for the less fortunate in Nepal and they’ve knitted beanies to raise money for brain cancer research.
The group started 10 years ago and members look forward to meeting each month.
“We share our stories and teach each other different crafts, and we have a coffee and lunch together,” member Marion Riley said.
