Pen gun seized after police search Thornton home

A single-shot pen gun was among items seized by police from a Thornton home.  

A Hunter man has been charged with drugs and firearm offences following the execution of a search warrant about 8am on Thursday. Officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command searched a home on Campden Street, Thornton.

The 39-year-old man was arrested at his home, and taken to Maitland Police Station.

He was charged with supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drug, three counts of possess prohibited drug, possess unregistered firearm, possess ammunition without holding a licence/permit, and possess prohibited weapon.

He was refused bail to appear at Maitland Local Court on Friday.
