The mother-of-three is battling terminal cancer less than a year after chemotherapy cured her breast cancer, and she wants to make the biggest impact she can.
Her dream is to raise $20,000 for cancer research and she's hosting a fun day at Morpeth Lodge Motel and Raworth Tennis Centre on December 17 to help reach her goal.
She has already raised $15,000 through her fundraising efforts, including $3000 she raised when she had her head shaved in October.
Ms Bullent is the manager at the facility and has been inundated with donations to help make the day a success.
The long list of raffle prizes include a 55-inch television, a Go Pro, a bike, a $500 travel voucher, tickets to the APS Womens semi final, and a tennis racket.
“It’s really amazing how people are supporting me and I’ve only moved here from the United Kingdom in 2007,” she said.
“I want to make this fundraiser as successful as I can to show my support for this cause.
“The money I’m raising will go to research and to help people who need help with transport, it’s hugely important to me.”
A routine mammogram picked up the cancer soon after she participated in the 2016 City to Surf. Ms Bullent was fit and feeling healthy, so the news was a real shock.
Further tests revealed the cancer had spread to seven other parts of her body, including her lymph nodes and her brain.
Palliative chemotheraphy, which she has begun, will attempt to slow down the cancer’s growth.
The bad news hasn’t faltered her enthusiasm for her fundraising.
“There’s nothing much you can do about it,” she said.
“When you find out this is happening time becomes a little more precious to you.
“You have to stay positive, we’re all dealing with it and I’m still fine in myself.”
Ms Bullent thanked her husband Jerry and their children Matt, 23, Lucy, 21, and Andy, 17, for their endless support.
They will sell raffle tickets for the prizes before and on the day. The event will be held between 11am and 5pm and feature face painting, stalls and reiki massage.
