The week is aimed at promoting the critical role small and medium businesses play in the community.
A networking lunch at Maitland Regional Art Gallery on Wednesday, featuring guest speaker Claire Madden, a social researcher, who will explore the topic of The Future of Work.
“Without the contributions made by small businesses, many communities would not survive, especially in rural and regional areas,” NSW Opposition spokesperson for small business Jenny Aitchison said.
Maitland Business Chamber president Craig McGregor said the small to medium sized business sector was the city’s largest employer and generator of economic activity. “Back to Business Week is a fantastic initiative and will provide members with the opportunity to be educated, network and help grow more economic activity,” he said.
