After five straight losses to start the season, the young guns from Branxton have won their past three games and forced Carpet Court into fifth place on goal difference.
It was always meant to be a learning season for Branxton GMP, but they have show they are fast learners and are equal on 17 points with Carpet Court and Tolsaf Cranes, with The Bradford just two points behind.
The top three sides all had wins on the weekend and have established a break on the rest of the competition.
Hill Solicitors defeated Royal Federal 64-19, The George were 51-21 winners against Tolsaf Cranes and Club Maitland City had an important 42-33 win against The Bradford.
Courtesy of their win and other results Club Maitland City cemented third spot and now have a seven-point break on their rivals.
They face Tolsaf Cranes next week in a critical match-up in deciding the top four.
