A rally will be held outside Maitland Hospital today, with Maitland MP Jenny Aitchison, Maitland Community Union Alliance and some staff and community members calling for the state government to keep the new Maitland Hospital public.

It comes after the government announced last week it would seek a not-for-profit organisation to build and run the new facility at Metford.
The public action will take place at 12.30pm.
