The building is continuing to take shape with first floor concrete slabs and internal concrete staircases now complete.
Concrete pavement to support the Riverside Walk stone paving and the stepped concrete area between the Riverside Walk and riverbank have also been finished.
During September, roofing elements of the development will be undertaken along with the completion of internal brick walls and external facing brick walls as well as the installation of mechanical services including air conditioning.
Three High Street premises were demolished to make way for the structure, which will link the shared pedestrian and vehicle zone to the bank of the Hunter River.
It will feature public open space, public art, new amenities and a café.
The Riverlink Building is a key part of council’s $9.92 million second stage of the central Maitland upgrades.
