A man is dead after a portable building fell and crushed him at a Thornton Industrial Estate work site on Wednesday morning.

Police have confirmed the deceased was a 55-year-old contractor, believed to have been from the Lake Macquarie area.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 8.15am.
Police were on site on Wednesday investigating the accident which occurred at a business on Huntingdale Drive, off Thornton Road.
In a statement, Onsite chief executive Mike Foureur said the details of how the building fell was not known.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased,” he said.
“The precise details of the circumstances leading to this tragic incident are not yet known.
“Work health and safety at our sites is our number one priority. We will assist and cooperate will all relevant authorities in their investigations and are doing everything possible to support the family and other employees affected by this tragedy.”
