Dawn Vallance and June Gardner have been helping the city through the CWA collectively for 65 years - and now the pair have been recognised with NSW CWA life memberships.
The CWA’s Hunter River Group president Mary Bowman presented the certificates during the Maitland branch meeting last week.
Mrs Vallance joined the CWA 35 years ago and has held various positions in the East Maitland and Maitland branch. Over the years she has been the secretary, group councillor, group vice president, and state conference delegate.
“Dawn has always been an active member,” Maitland branch president Barbara Heckman said.
“She has great knowledge of CWA and her advice is greatly appreciated.”
Mrs Gardner joined 30 years ago.
“She has been a hard working member in all this time, always attending, when possible, meetings and events,” Mrs Heckman said.
