YOU may have thought Rekindling jockey Corey Brown was the happiest person in Australia on Tuesday afternoon.

But, Hunter Valley Grammar’s Higher School Certificate drama students would have also been in the running for the title – finishing the final 2017 exam, and their secondary education, at 2.30pm.

Deputy principal Penny Curran-Peters said most students left their exams feeling positive about their performance.

“They’ve certainly been very well prepared,” she said.

Ms Curran-Peters’ one piece of advice for the leaving pupils is to never stop learning.

“Learning is something that, if it’s lifelong, will always bring you a reward,” she said.

“We would love to thank this Year 12 for being really enthusiastic and dynamic group of young people.”

Some of Hunter Valley Grammar’s Class of 2017 had been with the school for 15 years – starting their academic journey in the early learning centre.
