The cigarette machine was then allegedly unplugged, lifted onto the trolley and wheeled out of the pub.
Police said the machine was then loaded onto the back of a ute that was parked in a nearby alleyway and driven away.
A witness contacted Maitland Police, who accessed CCTV from the pub to investigate the matter.

The 22-year-old man was charged with larceny and receiving stolen property. He is due to appear in Maitland Local Court in December.
