It’s a summer delight that cools you down on a hot day and it’s about to make its way to the Slow Food Earth Market in The Levee.
Crops across the city have been bathing in a little too much sun lately and now they’re sunburnt.
You wouldn’t know it to look at them, and it doesn’t affect the taste, but it does mean the fruit ripens more quickly so they need to be eaten very soon.
With the mercury set to rise into the high thirties - and even crack 40 - over the next few days, it’s the perfect time for them to shine at the fortnightly market.

Farmers are certain shoppers will happily take on the challenge.
Whole watermelons will sell for $5 and half for $2.50 between 2pm and 7pm on Thursday.
Slow Food Hunter Valley leader Amorelle Dempster will show shoppers how to make watermelon juice with a touch of mint in the Market Kitchen.
There will also be the usual wide range of fruit and veg, bread and pastries, flowers, garlic, meat and eggs.
