The Newcastle-based journalist began his public relations career in 1970 as Public Relations Manager for Hunter District Water Board.
He then established the public relations consultancy Purser Promotions, which eventually became Purser Corporate Communication Pty Ltd.
When BHP closed its doors, many small start-up businesses experienced a ‘renaissance’ in Newcastle and the team at Purser were there to help.
The business now deals with everything from specialist public affairs to strategic communication all over the country.
