Park claimed the outright lead after day three yesterday with a three-under 68 to see him alone atop the leaderboard, two clear of Thailand’s Sarit Suwannarut.
Park is at nine-under, five clear of Victoria’s Cameron John and The Australian member Kevin Yuan at four-under.
Maitland’s Hayden Gulliver is the best of the local contingent, tied for 25th at nine-over.
Two-time defending champion Shelly Shin is on track to claim a hat-trick of titles after she shot a two-under 70 to give her a three shot lead in the girls’ championship heading into the fourth round.
Shin, who broke the course record she set at last year’s event in round one, carded five birdies to see her clear of Thailand’s Kanyalak Preedasutthijit and Queenslander Eunice Kim.
Concord’s Shin, Preedasutthijit and Kim are the only three players under par.
In the sub-junior event at Kurri Kurri, Western Australian Cooper Geddes leads heading into day four at eight-over, three clear of Bradley Doherty.
Maitland’s Clayton Small is eight shots back in a tie for sixth, while Branxton’s Corey Lamb is the nett leader of the under 13s event.
In the girls’ championship, Bonnie Doon’s Amy Chu, Dunheved’s Hannah Park and Doey Choi from Concord share the lead at 10-over.
