Twitter appears to be not working or loading extremely slowly for users across Australia. The social media platform has seen a spike of issues on the website Down Detector, which tracks outages through a range of sources including user reports, with issues with both the app and website being reported across the country on Wednesday (January 4, 2023). 50 per cent of those reporting issues to Down Detector had issues with the Twitter app, while 46 per cent reported issues with the website. Load times seem low across the platform with many users getting an error message that reads "Uh oh, an error was encountered" when trying to load tweets, while others are seeing a message that reads "Something went wrong. Try reloading" when trying to view the Twitter feed.
