That effort alone was enough to win a nomination but the 12-year-old followed it up in December by being named the Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation rookie of the year.
At the championships Lamb, who plays off a handicap of nine, shot scores of 81 at Portsea and 87 at Rosebud golf courses – the third and fourth best scores for his team.
