Thornton Beresfield welcomed the Magpies to Lindsay Oval needing to win to keep alive any chance of leap-frogging Raymond Terrace into second place.
Magpies centre Mitchell Turvey scored a pair of tries while Riece Cochran and Tim Larsen both came off the bench to cross for four-pointers.
Five-eighth Barry Kennewell kicked two goals.
Thornton Beresfield halfback Josh Hutchison grabbed two tries for the Bears while centre Robert Page also crossed the stripe.
Winger Jordan Eckford kicked three goals and a penalty goal.
The draw leaves Raymond Terrace and Thornton Beresfield in second and third place respectively with two rounds remaining.
Elsewhere in B-grade, Stroud smashed Paterson River 40-4.
In A-grade, Shortland handed out a 52-10 drubbing to East Maitland while West Maitland went down 28-16 to Dudley.
East Maitland is still a chance of reaching the semi-finals despite the defeat after Cardiff went down to Belmont Souths.
West Maitland’s finals chances are now over but need to win their remaining two games to avoid the wooden spoon in their return season to A-grade.
In D-grade, Hinton thrashed Kotara 42-16 while Gloucester downed Clarence Town 24-18.
Woodberry forfeited their game to Williamtown.
