Players from every era were named in the Pickers top 20 list, which was revealed in front of 300 people at Maitland Leagues Club on Saturday night.
From Maitland's maiden premiership in 1933, through the flood ravaged 1950s, to six of nine grand final appearances from 1965 and even from the current crop - players from across the ages were acknowledged as the Pickers' best.
Kangaroo tourist Don Adams led the charge from the 1950s, which saw Maitland play in seven straight deciders and claim a hat-trick of titles between 1956 and 1958.
Adams was joined by fellow winger Billy Callinan, centre Frank Threlfo and forward Gordon Harley.
Preceding them from the late 1940s and early 1950s were Australian representative pair Noel Pidding and John Graves, who were both goal kicking wingers.
The 1960s and 1970s were well represented after producing four major premierships for the Pickers.
Maitland captain-coach and Australian lock Terry Pannowitz, halfback Brian Burke, fullback Gary Collins as well as wingers Merv Wright and Warren Bell were included along with forwards Jim Morgan, Max McMahon, Ray Wawskzowicz and Max Bailey.
From the 1983 grand final winning side were captain-coach Robert Finch, Morpeth prop Milton Burrows and Australian representative David Trewhella.
NSW Resident's representative Brett Christiansen flew the flag from the 1990s while 2011 premiership-winning captain PJ Ellis was included from the today's first grade squad.
Multiple premiership-winning captain-coaches Paddy Maher (1933-1934) and Fred Brown (1956-1958) were announced as co-coaches of the Pickers top 20.
The selection criteria stipulated players had to be local juniors, must have played first grade for the Pickers and notched up at least 50 games.
A short list of 44 players had been reveled in the Maitland Mercury last month.
See Monday's Mercury for more coverage.
