But 17-year-old Josh Wilkinson has done so much more - since the start of the year, his group Team Josh has raised about $14,000 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
News of his successful climb was revealed by Anthony Gorman, a supporter of his group.
The mountain climb, called the Krazi Kosci Klimb, was organised by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance and 20 teams of seven members each took part.
"Josh made it all the way to the top - and back down again," Mr Gorman said.
"It was a huge effort by Josh and all the others too, but they are triumphant about their achievement.”
