East Maitland’s Old Victoria Inn (formerly Roseneath) will hold an Open House on Sunday, March 13 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Take a walk through an intriguing piece of East Maitland’s early history and explore parts of the Old Victoria Inn not usually seen by the public. Built in the late 1830s on land purchased by Samuel Clift, the Georgian Victorian two storey property in Day Street has had a varied life but remained largely intact through the extensive restoration work of the previous owners. The current owners have generously allowed the Friends of Grossmann House to conduct an Open House as a fundraiser for the ongoing maintenance of Brough and Grossmann Houses. Bookings cost $12 and $10 National Trust members. Refreshments can be purchased at the restaurant. Phone Lynn 4932 0518.
