The podium finish completed a successful season for the pair who won silver in the under-16 double scull at the NSW Sprint Championships in December last year and silver in under-17 double sculls at the NSW Championships (full course) in February.
The duo won the Combined High School under-16 title in 2015 and are favourites to repeat their success this year in the under-17 category, which will be held in May..
University of Newcastle rowers, who are based beside Endeavour at Berry Park, also were successful at the national titles.
The university’s open men’s quad crew was third in the sprint at the national titles.
