Most recently Wakakulang danced at Yabun, Sydney’s annual celebration of Indigenous culture to a crowd of over 15,000.
Wakakulang leader Michael Heitmeyer said the group has evolved and is always excited to show its capability with pride.
“Performing and sharing our culture with schools and community and youth events is important to us as it helps our culture survive in a modern society that doesn't often place value on it,” he said.
Wakakulang will perform from 7.50pm on Friday at Sun Street.
