Some of the Hunter’s adopted sons, Van Walker and his band the HeartBrokers, will bring their rambling roadhouse blues to the Grand Junction this Thursday night.

With a gravelly voice, infectious smile and two-handed grip on story-telling, last time Walker was at the Junkyard it felt like a bunch of mates had been passing around the guitar.
But once it was handed to Walker, no one would let him put it down.
But the HeartBrokers are legends themselves. Among them is ‘disturbed folk’ guitar titan Jeff Lang . Ash Davies on drums, Ezra Lee on upright piano and all-rounder Cal Walker on bass round out the band.
