Rutherford’s St Paul’s Primary School student Macyn Philpott, aged 8, suffers from cystic fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited chronic illness that affects organs including the lungs. It requires ongoing and daily treatment. There is no known cure.
Macyn’s mother, Michelle – a teacher at the school, ran a social media campaign in May to help CF NSW support those with the disease. It raised $2660.07.
And earlier this month the school hosted a crazy hair day where students chipped in gold coin donations. The event raised a further $556.10.
Mrs Philpott said she was humbled by the support.
