The annual event, hosted by West Maitland Schoolboys Rugby League Football Club, took place at McKeachies Oval.
Kids from all around Maitland and the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Upper Hunter attended the day.
Teams ranged from under-6s to under-8s.
Each side played four games made up of 10-minute halves, and all players received a medal for their efforts.
Event organiser Aaron Malloy said the day was a chance for the kids to develop as players and to get out and play on a Sunday.
He said with weekly games, the children tended to forget what they’d done the week before, so this gave them an opportunity to learn throughout the day.
Malloy said all of the people involved thoroughly enjoyed themselves and that the event went along smoothly.
