The Mustangs women have home-court advantage against Shoalhaven Tigers, while the men travel down to Manly to take on the Seahawks.
There’s no second chance with both teams facing two elimination finals to qualify for the grand final.
Mustangs player Rachel Williams said although they beat Shoalhaven Tigers by 20 points in their round 15 encounter at the end of June, they could not afford to be over-confident.
Williams said she was hoping for a big home-court crowd to give them the vital lift, which saw them claim third spot on the ladder with a 72-59 win against Coffs Harbour Suns last Sunday.
“The Mustangs crowd is great, they get right behind you. They really lifted us last week against the Suns,” she said.
“It was an important win as it allowed us to go to third and get a slightly easier draw this week.”
The top two teams have a break this week before facing the winners of the Mustangs and Tigers final and the second elimination final between the Suns and Newcastle Hunters.
The women’s game starts at 5pm.
The Mustangs youth men finished sixth on the ladder and face the Seahawks at the Norther Beaches Indoor Sports Centre at 2pm. Inner West Bulls and Blacktown Storm meet in the other final.
Central Coast Crusaders and Sydney Comets have the week off.
