Lisa and Andrew Margan’s “estate grown, estate made” food philosophy struck a chord while the Hunter region held its own. Two of the five finalist restaurants in the running for the Santa Vittoria Regional Restaurant of the Year were from the Hunter Valley – Bistro Molines and Muse Restaurant. Cabarita Beach’s Paper Daisy took the crown, and two hats, in its first Good Food Guide entry.
Troy Rhoades-Brown’s Muse Restaurant held on to its two-hat rating, and Muse Kitchen the single hat it has worn since 2012.
Mount View’s Bistro Molines, owned by Robert and Sally Molines, along with Newcastle’s Subo and Restaurant Mason, all maintained their one-hat ratings.
